How can I set up shipping prices in my WooCommerce Store?

There are two main ways to charge shipping in your WooCommerce Store: when dynamic shipping is enabled, and when dynamic shipping is disabled.

1) Dynamic Shipping - Enabled

Enabling dynamic shipping means shipping charges will automatically be calculated and pulled from Gooten, instead of being manually added by you.

To enable dynamic shipping, you should check it off in Gooten plug-in in your store:

2) Dynamic Shipping - Disabled

If you disable dynamic shipping in your store, this leaves you with two options - offering free shipping or flat rate shipping.

Free Shipping

Free Shipping is a special method which can either be triggered with coupons and/or minimum spends, or you can simply enable it for certain a shipping zone altogether. You can activate it by adding it to a desired Shipping Zone under Shipping Method(s):

Flat Rate Shipping

Flat Rate Shipping is a method which can be activated by adding it to a desired Shipping Zone under Shipping Method(s), and which enables you to select fixed shipping rates per zone:

You get to edit the flat rate shipping conditions by clicking on the Flat Rate method. You can either simply select the desired rate or add additional conditions like - shipping rate per item or percentage based fees.

Formulas for shipping rate per item and percentage based additional fees:

  • [qty] – Number of products in the cart

  • [fee] – An additional fee. This fee has two optional arguments.

    • percent – A percentage based on total order cost.

    • min_fee – A minimum amount. Useful when using percentages.

Examples:

  • 10 + ( 2 * [qty] ) – A base shipping cost of $10 plus $2 for each item in the cart.

  • 20 + [fee percent="10" min_fee="4"] – A base shipping cost of $20 plus 10% of the order total, which is at least $4.

Please note, in order to apply either Free or Flat Rate Shipping - Dynamic Shipping must be disabled, otherwise only automatically calculated Gooten shipping fees will be applied to the order
